The No God is an apocalyptic monster. While it exists new souls cannot enter the world and children cannot be born.
It seeks out ensouled life and snuffs it, ravaging the world.
Its body and spirit must both be dealt with to save the world.
This creature is from R Scott Bakker's second apocalypse books. It isn't entirely faithful but modified to suit the finale of the campaign I've been running.
